The staff of The Country Quilter are very excited about hosting the Quest for a Cure 30 Hour Quilt Marathon. Plans have been under way since the spring. Local media have been invited to cover the event and many special guests have been invited to add stitches to the quilt.

Many people have contributed to the planning and organization of this event. Special thanks to Donna James and Tammy Enei for arranging media coverage, publicity and special guests; also to Heidi Taylor for coordinating the Old Fashion Cake and Pie Auction. This auction takes place Saturday, October 1 st at 12:30.

For the third year, Northcott has donated fabric from their Quest for a Cure TM fabric line. The fabric is divided into kits and sold at THE QUILT exhibits. The completed blocks returned from these kits are used to make tops that are quilted in our marathons.
