Hutt,
from his first days at the Hart House Theatre in Toronto, has
been a distinguished leading man in Canada, England, and the United
States. He joined the Stratford Festival for its inaugural season
in 1953 and has been a virtual fixture of the Festival ever since.
He was made a Companion of the Order of Canada in 1969 for his contribution
to the performing arts as a distinguished leading player. |

Dr.
Marla Shapiro is
the energetic host of the well-known CTV health program Balance:
Television for Living Well. She is also a family physician and Associate
Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at
the University of Toronto. Dr. Marla Shapiro is a breast cancer
survivor and a strong believer of empowering women through education.
Dr.
Tak Mak
lost his
wife to breast cancer. Now he works to defeat the disease that claimed
her life. A world-renowned cancer researcher, Dr. Tak Mak is the
director of the Campbell Family Institute for Breast Cancer Research
at Princess Margaret Hospital.
Marvelle
Koffler is a breast cancer survivor and a strong
believer in emotional recovery as well as physical recovery from
breast cancer. This belief resulted in the establishment of The
Marvelle Koffler Breast Centre at Mount Sinai Hospital - a multi-disciplinary
centre that gives breast cancer patients support in all aspects
of their illness.
Dr.
Pamela Goodwin
is a research scientist at the hospital's Samuel Lunenfeld Research
Institute, a University of Toronto associate professor, and the
Director of the Marvelle Koffler Breast Centre. |

Al
Waxman was the much-loved Canadian director/actor
who played Larry King on the popular 1970s Canadian sitcom “King
of Kensington” and the short-tempered Lt. Bert Samuels on the 1980s
American drama series“Cagney and Lacey.” In
1996, he was awarded the Order of Ontario, and in 1997, he was awarded
the Order of Canada. He
died on Jan. 18, 2001 of complications during heart surgery.
