CARA FULLERTON

Cara Fullerton anchors the Global News at Noon Monday through Friday and is the live "roving reporter" weekdays on the Global News Morning Edition.

Her most embarrassing moment was dressing in speedskating tights and "shuffling" across the ice at Calgary's Olympic Oval in speed skates. This was done on air and in front of several world class speedskaters from around the globe. Cara says "You can't be shy in this industry."

Willow Brockė is a singer/songwriter from Los Angeles who now makes her home in Calgary. She has performed for international audiences singing jazz, blues, pop, Latin and theatrical music. She has worked as a vocalist for local and international studios including Raven Records of New York City. Featured on CFCN television, she has won awards for her original music compositions and is currently working in collaboration with pianist Sheldon Zanboor on a collection of new music to be released in 2006.  She is a soloist with Calgary Choral under the artistic direction of Brian Farrell.

CELEBRITY QUILTS

This year we have combined celebrities touched by cancer with the creative talent of quilt artists.

Canadian Idol Kalan Porter and the Calgary Flames are some of the notable people whose signatures and/or personal mementos have been incorporated into a number of quilts that will be exhibited and auctioned off. These quilts are on display at the Calgary La-Z-Boy Furniture Gallery, Northland Village mall from Sept 16 to Oct 2.
